New Year, New Regions at Georgia Power Economic Development

Our team is committed to helping grow our state with innovative economic development solutions that are tailored to the communities we serve.

To better align our team with yours, we’ve recently updated our Regional Economic Development regions and welcomed experienced professionals to our team. Notably, we've introduced a new region to serve the City of Atlanta and internally transitioned two of our team members.

Ashley West supports the new Atlanta Region (shifted from Metro West) and Eric McDonald from the West Region is now the new Metro West manager replacing Ashley.

MEET OUR NEWEST TEAM MEMBERS

Certainly not new to Team Georgia, we are thrilled to announce that Matt Colvin and Andy Camp have joined the Georgia Power Economic Development organization. Please join us in welcoming them both in their new roles.

Matt Colvin, Metro North Region

With nearly 20 years of experience across business recruitment, higher education, public policy, and government, Matt has served in various roles at key Georgia organizations including the University of Georgia (UGA), Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, Georgia Department of Economic Development, Electric Cities of Georgia, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and the Georgia General Assembly.

He holds a bachelor's and MBA from UGA and is pursuing his Ph.D. there as well. Matt lives in Cobb County with his family.

Andy Camp, West Region

Andy Camp has over 20 years of experience in economic and real estate development, with leadership roles at several firms and organizations. His career includes leadership roles with Thomas & Hutton, Barge Design Solutions, Gaskins + LeCraw, and NextSite, as well as extensive experience in local economic development with Carroll Tomorrow in Carroll County, Ga and the City of LaGrange in Troup County, Ga.

He holds a Bachelor of Building Science from Auburn University, is a LEED Accredited Professional, and actively participates in economic development groups. Andy lives in Carrollton and supports community initiatives in West Georgia.
