Q2 2026 - Manufacturing Companies Drive YTD Job Creation

Even with the broader economy shifting to a slower but positive growth path, Georgia continues to compete from a position of scale, opportunity, and diversity.

Through the first half of the year, we have helped 44 companies establish or expand operations in Georgia, resulting in nearly 6,000 new jobs and $4 billion in capital investment, with the second quarter bringing nearly half of those jobs.

Manufacturing drove 51% of announced jobs, while the non-manufacturing sector continued to contribute through warehousing and logistics, professional and technical services, and headquarters and office projects.

The pipeline remains large and diversified. The active pipeline stands at 273 projects, 75K potential jobs, and $127 billion in potential capital investment. Manufacturing leads the project pipeline count at 60.8% as well as potential jobs (64%).

Top Announcements for Q2

Unified Legacy Group, a metal-fabricating company, plans to bring 500 new jobs to Macon as part of a $125 million expansion in Bibb County. The new manufacturing facility will ramp up over several years—hiring welders, fabricators, assemblers, and other metalworking roles.
Price Industries, a North American HVAC and air distribution manufacturer used in commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings, purchased a 300,000+ square-foot facility in Barrow County with plans to invest approximately $65 million and create 400 jobs.
Authority Brands, a portfolio of well-known home service brands, will establish a new 48,000-square-foot headquarters in Cobb County known as the Franchisee Success Center. A majority of the 390 new roles will be concentrated in operations, IT, finance, and marketing.
Rayonier will relocate its headquarters to a 36,000-square-foot space at Terminus in Buckhead as part of its consolidation with PotlatchDeltic, bringing 100 jobs and $1.2 million in capital investment to Georgia from Jacksonville and Spokane. It is expected to open in 2027.
