Q3 2026 - Manufacturing Still Leads

With 12 projects supported statewide in the third quarter of 2026, Georgia Power's economic development team supported the creation of more than 4,500 jobs representing more than $20 billion in capital investment.

Our team has supported 56 locations and expansions through the third quarter of 2026, creating 10,463 jobs and attracting $26.8 billion in capital investment across Georgia.

Although job creation and project count trail the same period in 2024 and 2025, capital investment is the highest shown in the report’s 2017–2026 comparison, reflecting the impact of several large, capital-intensive projects. Activity remained statewide and diverse. Nearly 59% of locations occurred outside metro Atlanta, representing 66% of jobs and approximately 90% of capital investment. Manufacturing generated 57% of jobs created so far in 2026, led by electric equipment, fabricated metal products, and plastics and rubber products.

The pipeline remains large and positioned for continued growth. The active pipeline stands at 279 projects, 76K potential jobs, and $83 billion in potential capital investment. Manufacturing leads the project pipeline count at 63.8% as well as potential jobs (71%).

Top Announcements for Q3

Siemens, plans to invest at least $185 million in a new 550,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility in Pendergrass, Jackson County, creating more than 1,400 jobs. The facility, located in Pendergrass, will manufacture low-voltage electrical components and will be hiring for engineering, fabrication, assembly, and testing positions.
Pirelli Tire North America, announced an investment of $1.2 Billion in Floyd County, adding 1,000 additional full-time jobs targeting a factory capacity of 6 million tires per year. The new factory would serve top premium North American OEM customers and the replacement market.
DeltaX, will invest $141 million and create approximately 250 jobs in Walton County with the establishment of its North American manufacturing headquarters. The project will begin with a battery energy storage assembly facility.
