To date, Georgia Power's Economic Development Team has assisted 72 companies in locating or expanding in Georgia, resulting in the creation and retention of 12,312 jobs and $3.4 billion in capital investment.

Manufacturing accounts for most projects in the pipeline at 54% of total, followed by data centers and office/ headquarters. Manufacturing is also the leading jobs creator through the third quarter with 42% of jobs and 55% of capital investment.

Georgia Power was proud to earn the designation of a Top Utility in Economic Development for the 27th consecutive year by Site Selection magazine, underscoring the company’s enduring commitment to driving growth and prosperity across the state. Additionally, Georgia was ranked as the No. 1 state for business for the 12th consecutive year by Area Development magazine.
