"By sharing the feedback our project managers are hearing from businesses and site selection consultants, we can help our communities prepare for the right opportunities. This collaboration and partnership is what makes Georgia stand apart from other states and continue to be recognized as a top state for business."
- Rope Roberts, retired.
Select Success
Last year Georgia responded to an increase in new project activity - from attraction to local expansions. The projects were larger than ever (jobs and capital investment), with many emphasizing greater speed-to-market and available talent pool.
On April 18, you’re invited to learn more about these trends in site selection from the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), Georgia Power, Georgia EMC, and the Electric Cities of Georgia. Speakers from these organizations will share what they learned as it pertains to:
- Hot Industries - which industries are driving the projects and what are they seeking in a location
- Site Selection Trends - top features they are looking for in a site and region, and how can you position your community's response
Rope Roberts, Community Development Manager, Georgia Power Community & Economic Development, will be moderating the panel. Check back soon for additional speakers.
