Elyse joined the Georgia Power Community & Economic Development team in 2014, after 27 years working in C&ED at the local level. During that time, she held various leadership positions in chambers and development authorities. She also operated her own consulting firm, working with community leaders and development authorities on job growth strategies and organizational support.
Elyse serves on the board of the Floyd County College & Career Academy. She is a member of the Georgia Economic Developer’s Association, Southeastern Economic Development Council, and American Chamber of Commerce Executives Association where she maintains her Certified Chamber Executives designation. She is a graduate of Leadership Georgia and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. Elyse served as an instructor with the United States Chamber of Commerce’s Southeast Institute for Organization Management where she also served as board chair.
Elyse holds an associate degree in business administration from Shorter University. She and her husband, Bill, live in Bartow County. They are extremely active with their five grandchildren. Her hobbies include collecting pottery, cooking, and archery hunting.
