Q2 2025 - Manufacturing leads the way

Through midyear, the Economic Development Team assisted nearly 60 companies in locating or expanding in Georgia, resulting in the creation and retention of 7,699+ jobs and $2 billion in capital investment.

This activity increased substantially in the second quarter, following a slower start early in the year. Notably, office-related locations contributed nearly half of all jobs, totaling 3,645 jobs, followed by e-fulfillment warehouses and manufacturing locations. Despite tariff and economic uncertainty, foreign direct investment stands above average at 30% of total locations.

The current project pipeline is at a peak, with manufacturing representing most in the pipeline, followed by data centers and office/headquarters. Power availability continues to be a key factor for large locations, especially data centers.
