As manager of Community Development for Georgia Power, Kristy is responsible for the company’s efforts in preparing Georgia’s communities for growth and bringing new jobs and investment to the state. The Community Development organization supports local communities through leadership development, strategic planning, industry expansion, retention, and recruitment. The team also provides management with guidance on policies and issues affecting education and workforce development. Kristy joined the C&ED organization after working as company's Land Manager.
Prior to her work in Land, Kristy was a Senior Staff Attorney at Georgia Power. Before joining GPC, she was the Director of the Consumers’ Utility Counsel Division of the Governor’s Office of Consumer Affairs.
Kristy is a graduate of Spelman College, and received her law degree from the University of Georgia. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Energy Bar Association, and the Commercial Board of Realtors.
