As manager of Community Development for Georgia Power, Kristy is responsible for the company’s efforts in preparing Georgia’s communities for growth and bringing new jobs and investment to the state. The Community Development organization supports local communities through leadership development, strategic planning, industry expansion, retention, and recruitment. Kristy joined the C&ED organization after working as company's Land Sales Manager.

Prior to her work in Land, Kristy was a Senior Staff Attorney at Georgia Power. Before joining GPC, she was the Director of the Consumers’ Utility Counsel Division of the Governor’s Office of Consumer Affairs.

Kristy is a graduate of Spelman College and received her law degree from the University of Georgia. She currently serves on the boards of Georgia CASA, Park Pride, the Atlanta Science Festival, and the Georgia Academy for Economic Development. She is a graduate of the Urban Land Institute’s Center for Leadership, CREW Atlanta’s Leadership Class, Leadership Georgia, and the Regional Leadership Institute. A native of Montgomery, Alabama, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband Tyrone and daughter Chloe.
