Brian works as the Georgia Power Community and Economic Development Manager for the Metro South Region, supporting the success of those communities through leadership development, strategic planning, assisting companies with expansion efforts.
Before this, Brian held various other roles within the Southern Company organization. During those 15 years, he served as communications manager for Southern Nuclear, community development manager in external affairs for Mississippi Power, and official spokesperson in Georgia Power's media relations department. Outside of Southern Company, Brian worked as an account executive at J. Walter Advertising New York. His experience in advertising, public and media relations marketing communications, social media and external affairs offer a distinct advantage to the communities Brian is helping to grow in Metro South.
Brian has a B.B.A. in marketing from Georgia State University. He is a 2012 graduate of LEAD Atlanta, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and the Emerging 100 of Atlanta.
A native of Covington, Georgia, Brian now lives in Atlanta's Reynoldstown neighborhood. He loves Atlanta for its art, and its eclectic mix of old and new. When he's not exploring the city, Brian loves to play golf, run, and spend time with friends and family (while listening to various 90s hip hop artists including his favorites, Atlanta's very own Outkast).
